Well, that could mean no Triple Crown winner ever again! Hard to believe that racing could be in that bad a shape in New York, and that bodes badly for the state of the sport across the country. Without ancillary revenue (i.e. other forms of gambling), horse tracks appear to be the legacy of a bygone era. Sad, but the sport just has not kept pace (yeah, a pun) and reached newer demographics.
