Getting an education means different things to different people, but everyone has to work at it. It doesn’t come easy whether you pay for it or someone else does. There are some personal requirement and discipline required.
What does it take for the average individual to get an education?
You might call me an expert in the area of education. I have certainly attended enough schools and put in enough days. Whether I learned anything or not remains to be seen. What I am offering here is advice not expert opinion. However, I will let my record stand for itself on this matter. You be the judge.

World peace through love and understanding
++++++++++++++++++++++
http://authspot.com/thoughts/world-peace-through-love-and-understanding/
Humans seem to have a problem with loving. It is not easy to love your enemy or to forgive those who have hurt you, but it might be one way to solve the world’s problems. Is it possible that we can find a better way? I think so.
Some things should be looked at more closely. We may not understand all that we see, but we can atleast be more considerate of what we don’t understand.
The world’s greatest weapon for peace, what is it?
There are many reasons why the inhabitants of our world don’t get along. I suggest that one of these reasons might be the lack of love for others. Does it make sense to hate a race, ethnic group, or a government because they are different from us or because we don’t have the wherewithal to compete with them economically? I in no way suggest that it as simple as this, but there is in fact, differences that cause individuals, groups and governments to dislike one or more of the other individual, group or government. (this is not an all inclusive list)
Disregard the fact that love is free to offer and receive. Don’t expect everyone in the world to understand that giving is much better than receiving. Forget about the wonders that have been accomplished throughout history because of love and devotion. Don’t even try to count the religions that are based on love. What happens to love when we become selfish, desperate, hungry, angry, lonely, rejected, or otherwise pushed out of our comfort zone? Whose fault is that?
Is it that hard to understand that we are never going to win at hate, anger, frustration, and getting even?

My thoughts on Global Warming
++++++++++++++++++++++
http://socyberty.com/issues/my-thoughts-on-global-warming/
Nit picking global warming and those that are for or against it will not solve the real problem. Small range thoughts and actions have no bearing on the situation. No one has the foresight or power to see the truth, but having admitted that, let’s look at my opinion.
This picture alone and if taken in the jungles of the Amazon would not prove or disprove global warming theories.
Obviously there are many people including journalists, scientist and some here in our own back yard who don’t understand the word GLOBAL as it relates to billions of years. This has nothing to do with the UK or NYC. We have to consider that at one time dinosaurs roamed the Antarctic and coal in large quantities, is found there today. What was the world like then? Not one hundred years ago? Or even one thousand years ago. What were the glaciers like then when that largest frozen continent was a jungle? And again one thousand years after the Antarctic dinosaurs were living there and then again at the present time. It has been proved that many parts of our world have been frozen for long periods of time. Missouri north of the Missouri River was once part of our recent ice age. So looking at day to day, year to year or even century to century weather conditions has nothing to do with Global Warming via here, there and any other place. Global Warming has gotten out of hand because of radicals on both sides. Now, lets forget about the glaciers, tundra and the UK and think about the Globe as Global over a billion or so years. Think big my friends.
Our globe as a whole cannot support the time honored temperature exchanges to the exact same ninth of a degree as it has for billions of years

Make a plan, follow your plan, it is as simple as that
++++++++++++++++++++++
http://socyberty.com/advice/planning-preparation-and-execution-for-a-successful-life/
We all need to know where we are going. How we plan to get there and most of all, what we want to be like and what we want have when the trip is ended. We must plan carefully, prepare for what we plan to do and execute accordingly.
Living the good life.
Each year is a time for looking back.
As another year comes to an end, I look back on my life and wonder how many of you are doing the same. We are all different and that is a given. We all have opportunities and that is a given. What you do with your differences and your opportunities has a lot to do with what you see as you look back on each year and as in my case, looking back on a lifetime of planning, execution and endeavor gives me great memories. I wish you all the very best in the coming years.
Have you accomplish all that you wanted to this year? We all should have goals for things that should be done. There are things that we must get done, things that we would like to get done and then there are things we dream about getting done. What about you? Did you do all that you wanted to do this year? Have you accomplished your goals to this point in your lifetime?

The Price of Influence: A Cautionary Tale of Not Following the Rules in Conducting Tax Sale Reverse Auctions
Image via Wikipedia
Here's a tale of why it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO very important to have a reverse auction mechanism in place - and to have it followed - at all levels of government. It comes from Madison County, Illinois, where it turns out that the county treasurer had sold tax liens against properties at the highest allowable rate (18 percent), rather than conducting the legally-mandated reverse auctions to allow investors to compete for the properties and thereby lower the interest rates paid by delinquent taxpayers. The practice allegedly cost taxpayers millions, while benefiting the treasurer's campaign contributors. See the complete story below:
