Cheat Sheet - Oprah's Wild, Hilarious Week

Today: Egypt's Day of Rage , Son of Muslim Brotherhood Leader Killed , Fox Pulls Out of Hillary Miniseries Deal
Cheat Sheet: Morning

WATCH THIS!

The media queen claimed her throne this past week with a hilarious, poignant, wildly entertaining press tour, making stops at Letterman, Kimmel, and even Bravo's Watch What Happens Live. See all the highlights.

TURMOIL IN EGYPT

In Egypt, violence claimed 173 lives on Friday as government forces fought Islamist protesters. Sophia Jones reports from the bloodied, chaotic streets of Cairo.

CASUALTIES

A son of the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood was killed during clashes between protestors and authorities in Egypt, reported the Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice party on Saturday. Ammar Badie was the son of Mohammed Badie, the Brotherhood's Supreme Guide. He was shot dead in Ramses Square, near a Cairo mosque that has quickly been transformed into a field hospital. His was among Friday's 173 deaths, the result of the second such wave of violence this week.

BREAKING UP

Well, that's not a total surprise. Fox Entertainment announced Friday that, though the company had initially planned involvement with the proposed NBC Hillary Clinton miniseries, it is pulling out of the deal. The announcement came the day that the Republican National Committee, unenthused by the proposed miniseries, voted to ban NBC from airing any 2016 primary debates. However, both Fox and NBC maintain that political pressure was not a factor in the decision to part ways. The companies say that the primary point of contention was not ideology but money: the financial terms of the deal were not appealing to Fox, which also feared the project would not do well in overseas markets.

MARY JANE

Special brownies for all! On Friday, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie signaled he would sign a bill to ease children's access to medical marijuana if it were changed to ensure that edible cannabis would only be available to qualified minors with a prescription. The bill would remove the current limit on the number of strains dispensaries can provide, as advocates say different strains can have different effects. "Today," Christie said, "I am making common sense recommendations to this legislature." Not so common-sense was another event that followed the announcement. Later that night, Christie vetoed a bill that would ban a powerful form of assault weapon--a ban he initially advocated.

Area 51 Is Real!

The government's declassification of documents relating to the fabled secret military base isn't all good news; it kind of takes away from the fun of imagining the mysteries hidden in Area 51. In honor of the aliens that probably don't actually reside there, here's a look at Hollywood's depictions of Area 51.
