LONDON (Reuters) - Brent crude oil hit a fresh five-year low close to $60 a barrel on Monday after producer group OPEC restated its determination not to cut output despite a global fuel glut, but the North Sea benchmark later rallied to above $62.Market momentum appeared to be downwards, with analysts saying oil could plumb new depths before a sustained recovery.
Apache to sell stakes in LNG projects to Woodside for $2.75 billion
(Reuters) - Apache Corp said on Monday it would sell its stakes in two liquefied natural gas projects, Wheatstone LNG in Australia and Kitimat LNG in Canada, to Australia's Woodside Petroleum Ltd for $2.75 billion.
BC Partners to acquire PetSmart for $8.7 billion
(Reuters) - Pet supply retailer PetSmart Inc succumbed to calls from some shareholders for a sale on Sunday with an agreement to be bought by a private equity consortium led by BC Partners Ltd for $8.7 billion, in the largest leveraged buyout of the year.
