The real accident which he met was the same as that he wrote in his essay, he died in a car racing competition while, he was standing next to the track boundary. The kid’s school teacher gave the essay to the media that he wrote the story of his death himself.

LGU Malalag Health and Environmental Sanitation Holds Planning Workshop

The Local Government of Malalag conducted a planning workshop on Health and Environmental issues and

concerns to the newly organized Young Sanitarians’ Group based in four (4) schools of Malalag on February 8-9, 2011 at Arnaldo’s Place, Digos City to increase and heighten the awareness of community members on the importance of good sanitation in order to reduce the mortality rate especially among mothers and children and contribute to the fulfillment of the Department’s (CSSD) mandate in the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals.

The workshop training was made possible with the help and in partnership with the following agencies: MHO Malalag, Department of Education (DepEd), SB Malalag, Barangay Council Officers, Heads of other Departments and the Malalag Sanitarians’ Group.

The program was conceptualized in 2010 by the MHO personnel and designed as continuing. To ensure its continuity special focus is given to the participation of the youth. At the same time, it also serves as an effective means of generating heightened interest of LGU Malalag in preparation for its participation in this year’s national Search of LGUs with Best Programs on Health and Environmental Sanitation sponsored by DoH. In connection with this, LGU-Malalag wants to solicit the support of SMI in its bid to win in the National Search contest.
