The Optimum: E-Sourcing & Reverse Auction Bid Optimization: Simplifying Decisions for Faster Savings

This is a very good article written by Dr. Olga Raskina. I think she does a good job of addressing some of the major misconceptions and fears out there regarding the use of reverse auctions in e-procurement strategies for private sector firms, incorporating examples from her consultation with leading companies in the pharmaceutical and transport sectors. What Colour is the moon?

What colour is the moon.

Aren’t there little things you have wondered about, but didn’t know whom to ask.I will give you the fascinating reason behind the incredible mysteries of the life.

What colour is the moon?

When you seen the moon shining brightly in the night sky,it looks like silvery in colour. But the moon actually has no light of its own.The glow you see is only the reflected light of sun.

In photographs taken of moon,it appears dull and grey. However the lunar surface actually does have a bit of colour,in very subtle shades. These colours give clues about the minerals present on the moon’s surface. The younger flows of lava are blue grey, while the older ones are reddish grey in colour.

Thanks for reading my posts……….

Magnet attract an iron but not an copper?

A magnet is an object or material that attracts certain metals, and iron is one of the metals strongly influenced by its magnetic force, and copper is not.

Metals that respond strongly to magnetic fields are known as ferromagnetic metals.A few common and well-known metals in this category are iron, cobalt, and nickel. There are other rare metals too in this class, with unusual names like Gadolinium,Holmium,Terbium, and Dysprosium. The atoms in ferromagnetic metal are arranged into little groups domains that just form in that way when the metals are created.

In every materials, atoms have ‘positive’ charges at the centre, called protons, and negative charges that circle around the positive charges, called electrons.Atoms have electrons going around in different directions, they cancel each other out. However, ferromagnetic atoms are special, because the magnetic dipoles line up perfectly with those of their neighbours in the same domain. This phenomenon makes them magnetic!Copper is non ferromagnetic.
