Sarah Palin Speaking Contract: 'Rider' Demands First-Class Travel, Pre-Screened Questions, Bendable Straws

OK, you gotta know that we just can't get by with non-bendable straws! I mean, we're not savages! Really, her demands are not that out of line compared to the famous contract demands of rock groups and other top-flight speakers (i.e. bowls with only brown M&M's).

Steve Jobs: Apple Owns Trademark On 'Pad'

OK, can you say over-reach. iDavid think that such a claim won't fly, but the Apple market and legal strength may well serve to deter others from trying the ___Pad moniker for their product offerings. For instance, it will be interesting to see what the German makers of the WePad will do.

Promoted Tweets: Twitter Ad Program To Draw Money From Corporate Advertising

They have to have a revenue model and a path to profitability - otherwise, why be in business? Many may not agree with the advertising strategy they've chosen, but whether it will drive users away - and advertisers in - will depend on user reactions. It will be a "wait and see" approach, but my bet is that it will change the user-experience and we may well have seen the height of Twitterdom.

OK, Louisiana is finally #1 on a list. However, it is a bad, bad list!

Thanks Morris Bart! One call, that's all - and it adds-up to many, many unnecessary buckolas being shelled-out by all of us for the "privilege" of driving on Louisiana's roads.

WePad Tablet To Rival iPad

Well, it will be everyone in the pool time for the tablet market over the next 6-12 months. Every kid (and 40 year-old) will have an iPad, a WePad, or some other pad (a GPad, perhaps - hmmmmm - that could make for a "Transformers-like battle" that would surely benefit consumers!) on their list for Santa this Christmas!

JPMorgan Chase Argues Against Mortgage Modifications, Citing Sanctity Of Contracts

Their PR keeps getting worse and worse. To call-out mortgages for their "sanctity of contracts," but then have a track record of not adhering to that principle (government bailout??) makes them look foolish. It will certainly cause a backlash - in the media, among the public, and yes, maybe even in Congress.
