Reza Aslan's New Book Hits No. 1 on Amazon If that bizarre Fox interview with Reza Aslan was a viral marketing campaign, it was a stroke of genius. The day after an uncomfortable interview in which Fox News religion correspondent Lauren Green repeatedly asked religious scholar Reza Aslan why Aslan, a Muslim, would want to write a book about Jesus, Aslan's new book, Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth, has skyrocketed to No. 1 on Amazon. In the interview, Green accused Aslan of hiding his faith and asked him why he would be interested in the founder of Christianity. Aslan replied that he notes he's a Muslim on page two and explains, slowly and clearly, what a scholar is. Read it at Mediabistro HURRICANE SEASON 3. Tropical Storm Flossie Threatens Hawaii Even though Tropical Storm Flossie has shown signs of weakening, it's still expected to wreak havoc on Hawaii, where it is expected to make landfall on Monday. Weather officials said that the storm will bring flash floods, mudslides, and a dangerously large surf with it. They warned that residents should take the storm seriously as it will "threaten life and property." Meteorologists said people should be prepared for wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour and 18-foot waves. Flossie will be the first cyclone to make landfall on Hawaii since Hurricane Iniki in 1992.   Read it at NBC News MAJOR OPERATION 4. FBI Arrests 150 in Sex-Trafficking Sting The Federal Bureau of Investigation announced on Monday that it has arrested 150 pimps and rescued more than 100 exploited teenagers involved in sex trafficking. Taken together, the raids, which took place in more than 70 cities, constitute the largest FBI action focused on finding sexually exploited children. The youngest child recovered was 13 years old, according to authorities. Ronald Hosko, assistant director of the FBI's criminal-investigative division, said the bureau hopes that more people will now be aware of sex trafficking.
