Egypt's Chief Justice Sworn In as President Egypt's chief justice, Adly Mansour, was sworn in Thursday as acting president after a military coup ousted Mohamed Morsi, now under house arrest along with many of his senior aides. The head of the Muslim Brotherhood has also been reportedly arrested. Following days of mass protests, crowds in Tahrir Square cheered and launched fireworks to celebrate Morsi's removal. Military officials have refused to call the takeover a coup, instead describing it as a "national reconciliation," and said new elections could come soon. Love, Obama President Obama used his weekly address to wish the country a happy Fourth, replete with cookouts, fireworks, and family fun. Obama and the first family will celebrate Independence Day with 1,200 military personnel and their families at a USO show followed by the national fireworks display. Read it at White House STILL BURNING 5. Arizona Wildfire 45 Percent Contained The Arizona wildfire that killed 19 firefighters is slowing and is now 45 percent contained, according to city officials. All but one of the firefighting squad, the Granite Mountain Hotshots, were killed when the wind shifted Sunday, trapping the elite crew. An investigation is under way to determine what went wrong and prevent similar tragedies. The blaze, caused by lightning, has consumed 8,400 acres and destroyed at least 129 homes.
