August 13th, 2012Top Story Watch This Evo Race Car Fly Off The Road And Roll Down A Mountain By Matt Hardigree The Devil's Playground corner of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb is well known to Jalopnik readers as the place where cars fly off the mountain. This year an unlucky pair in a Evo took the honors. Thanks to modern safety equipment and a quick response, both the driver and co-driver survived the crash. Pikes Peak this year was the fastest ever, thanks to a course that's now completely paved from bottom to top. Numerous records fell, including the overall time, and even the crashes were faster. According to the YouTube description, the driver of this race-prepped Mitsubishi Evo is Jeremy Foley. He survived the crash, along with the co-driver, although both were taken to the hospital and one had fairly serious injuries. A source tells us the two will be out of the hospital later today.
