April 23rd, 2012Top StoryMetta World Peace's Elbow Waged War On James Harden's HeadBy Timothy Burke Metta World Peace earned an ejection from today's Lakers-Thunder game when his celebration after a second-quarter dunk included an elbow to the side of James Harden's head. World Peace was thrown out on the spot, despite fervent arguments that the elbow was inadvertent; we can't quite see how any celebration that isn't the Chicken Dance would feature elbows that high, but whatever—it's David Stern's issue to deal with, now. How many games will World Peace miss with a suspension? Magic Johnson suggested only two—we're thinking the world will be missing World Peace for quite a while longer than that, though. Harden didn't return to the game. [ABC] |
