Cheat Sheet - Obama Blocked Hillary on Syria for Years

SORRY, NOT SORRY

The split between President Obama and Hillary Clinton over Syria that hit the news this week goes much deeper, reports Josh Rogin. It was three years in the making, and it was about much more than just arming the rebels.

TRUE COURAGE

As tensions continue to run high in Ferguson, Missouri, one unexpected protester did what no others could. David Hoech, a 74-year-old Vietnam veteran, told police trying to block him, "Go ahead and shoot me."

NO WAY, JOSE

White House and State Department officials were reportedly caught by surprise when they found out that the Pentagon was sending military supplies to Israel without approval from the White House. As a result, the White House has now decided that any munitions request from Israel requires White House and State Department approval. Apparently the issue came to a head when an Israeli shell hit a UN school sheltering 3,000 people, and on the same day it was reported that U.S. munitions had been released to the Israeli military.

HELP!

Hundreds, if not thousands of Yazidis have been taken as prisoners by ISIS, reports Kimberly Dozier. They have been threatened with slavery and rape, however it looks unlikely the U.S. will attempt a rescue.

NERVOUS

The Russian aid convoy that stopped on Tuesday after a disagreement over how and where the aid was to be delivered has reportedly started moving again, except not to the agreed-upon checkpoint where it would be inspected by the Red Cross. Instead, the 262-vehicle convoy is headed to the Luhansk region, where much of the border is controlled by rebel forces. Ukrainian officials are afraid the aid mission will allow Russia to make a permanent presence and thus allow it to intervene, while Russia says it has been working with the Red Cross.
