JPMorgan profit declines 8 percent as fixed-income trading slides
(Reuters) - JPMorgan Chase & Co , the biggest U.S. bank by assets, reported an 8 percent decline in second-quarter profit as a pullback in trading of bonds and currencies by big institutions hit revenue in its securities trading business.
Reynolds American to buy Lorillard for about $25 billion
(Reuters) - Reynolds American Inc said it would buy rival Lorillard Inc for about $25 billion, merging two of the world's biggest cigarette makers amid a slowdown in sales.
