HOLY ROLLERS
Perhaps the most-secretive bank in the world cracked opened its books on Monday. More than 25 percent of the bank's business is done in cash, making it a favorite for criminals. Barbie Latza Nadeau reports the Institute for Works of Religion has been cracking down on some of its sleazier clients, according to the report by a Vatican task force.
EYES OFF

The United States is charging a state actor with cyberespionage for the first time ever. The Justice Department filed criminal charges Monday against five Chinese military officials for hacking American companies in the nuclear-power, metals, and solar-products industries. "They used military and intelligence facilities to commit cyberespionage against U.S. companies," an official told NBC News. "Enough is enough," Attorney General Eric Holder said. "It is our hope that the Chinese government will respect our criminal-justice system." China has long been viewed as the worst perpetrator of using computer spying to gather information and steal trade secrets.

NO VACATION
Americans aren't safe from Big Brother even when they go on vacation. The National Security Agency is recording the complete audio of every cellphone call in the Bahamas and storing them for up to a month. According to The Intercept, which broke the story Monday using documents obtained from Edward Snowden, 5 million Americans visit the Bahamas every year and many of them have homes there. NSA documents say the program is used to locate drug traffickers and smugglers of undocumented immigrants. In addition to the Bahamas, the MYSTIC program is also used to monitor the communications of Mexico, Kenya, the Philippines, and an unnamed country.
BRINGING UP BABY
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, a child should not be diagnosed with ADHD before age 4. Yet a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reveals thousands of toddlers are given stimulant medications to control ADHD symptoms. That's an appalling overuse, writes Russell Saunders. Doctors owe it to young and vulnerable patients to use these medications sparingly and judiciously.
TIT FOR TAT
Earlier this month, Russia announced that it would halt the sale of rocket engines to the U.S. if they were to be used for military purposes. House Armed Services Subcommittee Chairman Mike Rogers is retaliating with an amendment to squash Russia's access to intercontinental ballistic missiles in Ukraine. Eli Lake reports that Ukraine actually makes most of the R-20 missiles—known to NATO as SATANs—and continues to provide them to Russia.
