Don't let the EPA Fill Your Tank with Empty Promises

Below please find a message from one of our advertisers, Energy Citizens. Please note that the following message reflects the opinions and representations of our advertiser alone, and not necessarily the opinion or editorial positions of The Daily Caller.

Dear Concerned Citizen:

Americans like us have families, jobs, and even businesses to balance. Most of us don’t have the luxury of gazing into a crystal ball before we make important decisions.

Yet, when Congress passed the Renewable Fuel Standard, that’s exactly what they were trying to do. Tell them they need to repeal this unworkable standard.

Congress’ Renewable Fuel Standard mandated that a certain amount of “cellulosic” biofuels be blended into gasoline and diesel. Today — years after the bill was passed — these cellulosic fuels are still not commercially available and only exist in the science lab.

At the same time, EPA plans to increase the amount of cellulosic fuels that manufacturers must use and then fine fuel manufacturers for not using fuels that do not exist. This adds yet another cost to the process of manufacturing gasoline and diesel for our cars and trucks.

Act NOW: tell Congress to repeal the Renewable Fuel Standards.

Let’s face it — our nation’s energy strategy should be based on fact. Join with other concerned Americans and tell Congress: It’s time to go back to the drawing board and repeal the Renewable Fuel Standard.

Best wishes,

The Energy Citizens Team
