DEVELOPING

It's not over yet. Italy's high court has overturned Amanda Knox's acquittal, saying that the American must stand trial for the murder of her ex-roommate. Knox's American lawyer said she found the ruling "painful," but is ready to fight and prove her innocence. It's unclear whether Knox will return voluntarily to Italy or whether she'll be extradited—there's also a chance she may face trial in absentia. The Daily Beast's Barbie Latza Nadeau reports.

SAME-SEX MARRIAGE

Forget the legal handicapping, says The Daily Beast's Michael Tomasky. This Supreme Court is virtually guaranteed to decide same-sex marriage on political—and maybe moral—grounds. Not a comforting thought.

OH, COME ON, HE'S 17

He's a 17-year-old who sold his startup for millions. What have you done? British whiz kid Nick D'Aloisio has sold his news app Summly to Yahoo for a reported $30 million. Summly essentially condenses content on a smartphone, making it easier to scroll. D'Aloiso started working on the app when he was 15 and released it for the iPhone only four months ago. He'll work from Yahoo's London office as the company's youngest employee. The 17-year-old said that "if you have a good idea, or you think there's a gap in the market, just go out and launch it." He's looking at you.

BAILOUT

Cyprus's central bank announced Monday night that its banks will not reopen on Tuesday as originally planned. Officials said the banks will instead remain closed an extra two days until Thursday. The announcement came after Cyprus struck a predawn bailout deal in order to evade bankruptcy for the country. As part of the deal, however, President Nicos Anastasiades announced that the nation's second-largest bank, Cyprus Popular, will be shut down and that big depositors will be inflicted with heavy losses.

SABER-RATTLING

We really just don't have time for this. North Korea, undeterred by Ambassador Dennis Rodman's visit, is placing its military in "combat ready" mode. What does that mean? It means the nation's armed forces are ready to strike the U.S. imperialist forces that threaten its existence. Specifically, Hawaii and Guam and other strategic spots in the Pacific are at risk. Meanwhile, the U.S. said that it could handle anything Kim Jong-un has up his sleeve. Let's hope Pyongyang hasn't seen the film Olympus Has Fallen, where North Koreans storm the White House and take the president hostage.
