BREAKING NEWS: Stocks Soar to Start 2012, Dow Surges 200 Points

Propelled by encouraging economic data overseas, U.S. stocks kicked off 2012 in strong fashion. The Dow is up 200 points, or 1.6%, and commodity prices are also powering higher. The yield on the 10-year Treasury, meanwhile, has risen to 1.95%.
