Wired managed to get its hands on a tracker used by the FBI six years ago and turned it over to the teardown artists at iFixit, who disassembled the device. The DOJ's 10-year antitrust judgment against the software giant, which was the result of a lawsuit in 1998 over Microsoft's bundling of IE with Windows, expired May 12. The DOJ said it was an epic victory for consumers; Microsoft was less effuse. PROTECT IP is a new version of the controversial COICA bill that was killed last year.
