Microsoft and the DOJ: The End of an Era
Microsoft's long-running legal dance with the Department of Justice has come to an end. The DOJ's 10-year antitrust judgment against the software giant, which was the result of a lawsuit in 1998 over Microsoft's bundling of IE with Windows, expires May 12. The DOJ said it was an epic victory for consumers; Microsoft was less effuse.
