TOUGH CALL

A judge in Florida ruled Friday that a mother was insane when she drove her three children into the ocean off Daytona Beach earlier this year. As a result, Ebony Wilkerson was found not guilty by reason of insanity on three counts of child abuse. Prosecutors dropped three attempted-murder charges against her. A hearing has been scheduled for next week to determine whether or not she needs to be hospitalized. Police managed to rescue her and her children from the van when she drove it into the surf.

Due to a computer failure, London airspace had been closed during the middle of the day but is now open again. Heathrow Airport flights were experiencing delays and the airport said some planes would be turned away. While incoming flights to London Gatwick continued to land, departing flights were grounded. Stansted also announced that departing flights were suspended. The cause of the malfunction is unknown.
