Cheat Sheet - Where in the World Is Yanukovych?

Cheat Sheet: Afternoon

February 25, 2014
HIDING GAME
Ukraine's parliament voted today to send Viktor Yanukovych to The Hague for killing civilians. The only problem is that he's gone into hiding. Oleg Shynkarenko reports on the manhunt and the latest things found in Yanukovych's opulent villa, including a bedspread with his naked visage on it.
EARLY DOWNFALL
If home state approval ratings are any indication, Bobby Jindal of Louisiana doesn't stand a chance at running for president. David Freedlander reports that should Jindal run, and win the nomination, he could be the first nominee for either party to lose his home state in the primary.
NO MAS

Three people close to Arizona's governor told NBC News on Tuesday that she plans to veto a bill that could allow private businesses to refuse to serve gays. One of them, political adviser Chuck Coughlin, went on the record Tuesday to say "this was clearly not part of her agenda." Brewer has until Saturday to sign or veto the bill, which was passed by her own party in the state legislature last week.

GONE, BABY, GONE

President Obama has a message for Hamid Karzai: Sign our deal or we're outta here. In a Tuesday phone call with Karzai, Obama floated a complete withdrawal of all U.S. troops from Afghanistan by the end of this year if Karzai does not sign the Bilaterial Security Agreement, which outlines the rules for American forces to further operate in Afghanistan. That agreement is needed to keep U.S. troops in the country past 2014. Your move, Hamid.

FOOD FIGHT

The first lady is continuing her attack on the childhood battle of the bulge. She is proposing today a new set of rules on the types of foods and beverages that can be advertised in schools. Under the new regulations, high-caloric product logos cannot be on products, vending machines, or posters in schools. Through what we can only assume is clinched teeth, the president of the American Beverage Association, which represents Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and Dr Pepper, said "We look forward to working with the USDA on their proposed rule to align food and beverage signage in schools with the new regulations as the next logical next step."
