MO' MONEY, LESS COVERAGE

The president said over and over again that if Americans liked their health insurance they could keep it. Now, hundreds of thousands of people are seeing their policies cancelled for not conforming to the Affordable Care Act canceled policies—including The Daily Beast's David Frum. What will Democratic voters say now?

HEADS WILL ROLL

The glitchy rollout of Healthcare.gov, the website where Americans can sign up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act, was "not acceptable," according to the White House official tasked with overseeing the troubled launch. Marilyn Tavenner, the director of the agency in charge of the online insurance exchanges, told Congress on Tuesday that they are "committed to fixing these problems as soon as possible." Almost a month after the Healthcare.gov launch, the website still faces serious problems, even crashing on Sunday night. Tavenner blamed the "initial wave of interest" in the site, as well as the contractors tasked with helping to maintain and build the site—and she insisted a "new infusion of talent" has been brought in.

UNSOLVED MYSTERY

Acting off of a tip in the wake of the Little Maria case, authorities are testing the DNA of a Roma man who bears a striking resemblance to missing child Ben Needham. The Daily Beast's Barbie Latza Nadeau reports.

OUTBREAK

The World Health Organization confirmed on Tuesday that polio has broken out among children in northeastern Syria, with most of the victims being babies or toddlers. Ten cases have been confirmed, and a WHO spokesman said there are another 12 being investigated. Before Syria's civil war broke out in 2011, 95 percent of children were vaccinated against polio—but the difficult conditions have made it hard to vaccinate children, with only an estimated 500,000 vaccinated now. In the Deir al-Zour province alone, there are more than 100,000 children at risk, although immunizations are reportedly starting in the area.

CONTROVERSY

Dan Snyder to the principal's office please. Snyder, the unpopular owner of the Washington Redskins is meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Tuesday to discuss the escalating controversy over the team's name. The meeting is taking place in New York, and comes a day before the Oneida Indian Nation is set to meet with senior NFL officials. The storm over the team's name has ramped up after prominent journalists like Peter King of Sports Illustrated said they will no longer use the name, and President Obama said they should think about changing the name.
