Do you want to learn how to use social media to search for a job? Want to talk to career experts about your biggest career issues? Want to share really good career advice of your own? My good friend Lars Schmidt asked me to share my big brains and wisdom during the #NPRTwitterChat on January 31st from 5-6PM ET. This is a first of its kind initiative for NPR and Twitter. We are helping people get back to work or find the next great jobs in their careers. Check out this post for more information: I’m in it for the tote bag, the mug and maybe an NPR water bottle sling. (Oh wait, I have one!) Wait, what is it? This event is a 1 hour Twitter chat focused on careers. It is co-moderated by the @NPRjobs account and Twitter's @JoinTheFlock. I’m there as the former HR lady who is a subject matter expert on jobs and stuff. How will it work? It’s so easy. - Before January 31st, you can ask a question about your job search using Twitter. Open up your account, ask a question, and be sure to use the #NPRTwitterChat hashtag.

- You don’t need a Twitter account to just watch the chat, but it helps with the interactivity.
