Corruption, in the form of bribery, kickbacks, cronyism, and nepotism is widespread in many nations. In the United States, at first glance it appears the level of corruption is low. It is there, though, and it is rampant. We just have a different name for it. We use terms like "tax credits", "tax cuts", and "campaign contributions" to disguise what is really going on, and that is billions of dollars of public money siphoned into the coffers of corporations and wealthy individuals.
