Gulf Oil Spill: The Impact on the Commercial Fishing Industry in Louisiana
Here's a local New Orleans news story (WWL-TV) reporting on the impact of the BP oil spill on independent commercial fishermen in the coastal parishes of Louisiana. As you will see, there's a growing frustration with the situation:
What you don't see is that our local airwaves (and yes, our Google Ads on the Web) are all about law firms recruiting fishermen and others impacted by the oil spill to file suits against BP and TransOcean.
Let's hope for the best for all - and for these hard working folks in particular. If they don't survive this economically - with help forthcoming soon - this will likely be pretty much the end of the Louisiana seafood industry.
