CHEAT SHEET
MUST READS FROM ALL OVER

INTERVENTION
1. Is the Libya War Working?

After a 12-hour overnight strike, allied forces have broken Muammar
Gaddafi's siege of Misurata - although his snipers continue to terrorize
civilians in the city. Will the rebels be victorious - and will Gaddafi
go? The Daily Beast surveys analysis from Max Boot, Joel Rubin, George
Friedman, and more experts.

BACKLASH
2. Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld Calls Libyan War 'Worrisome'

Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld criticized the White House
Wednesday for lacking "clarity" in the Libyan mission, and said "only
time will tell" if the military will be successful. "The reluctance and
the ambivalence that we've seen reflected, I think, is possibly
worrisome for the people of the military," Rumsfeld said in an interview
with Politico. Rumsfeld said the White House is relying on the foreign
coalition to determine what the mission is - and he believes "the
mission should determine the coalition." He said the only clear goal he
has seen is the establishment of the no-fly zone. Although President
Obama has been criticized for not getting Congress' approval before
going into Libya, Rumsfeld said he "could understand" why Obama didn't,
saying "you had to have decided before the fact with some precision and
some clarity, as to what the mission would be" before going to Congress.

FALLOUT
3. Tokyo: Tap Water Is Now Clear

New tests on Thursday showed that radiation levels in Tokyo's tap water
have dropped again to levels safe for infants. The government, however,
will continue with plans to distribute bottled water to parents in the
city. On Thursday, it will hand out 240,000 bottles of water. Meanwhile,
two workers at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant were hospitalized
after standing in contaminated water.

INTERROGATIONS
4. Obama Curtails Miranda Rights

The Obama administration has issued new rules allowing investigators to
hold domestic-terror suspects longer without reading them their Miranda
rights. Previously, investigators could withhold a reading of one's
rights if there was an imminent public threat. Obama's new rules,
according to an FBI memo, allow investigators to delay reading Miranda
rights if they "conclude that continued unwarned interrogation is
necessary to collect valuable and timely intelligence not related to any
immediate threat."

OBITUARY
5. Elizabeth Taylor: Old Hollywood Survivor

"Unlike Marilyn, Liz survived." So writes The New York Times' Manohla
Dargis in a remembrance of Elizabeth Taylor. "And it was that survival
as much as the movies and fights with the studios, the melodramas and
men (so many melodramas, so many men!) that helped separate Ms. Taylor
from many other old-Hollywood stars." Taylor, says Dargis, "never looked
defeated." As a tribute, Turner Classic Movies will host a 24-hour
Taylor movie marathon on April 10.
