In this article, we show how leaders of the town of Millville, New Jersey partnered with WorldEnergy to save over $350,000 a year on the city government’s electricity outlays, which meant that the community avoided having to raise taxes and/or cutting necessary public services. It stands as a case study for leaders at all levels of government to investigate the power and ease with which reverse auctioning can be employed as a strategic procurement tool today.
