Chevron in Ecuador
Texaco made a tremendous mess in the Amazon. Chevron took over Texaco and its assets, but they also took over its liabilities. A judge recently ruled in a lawsuit that originated more than 15 years ago that Chevron is liable for more than $8 billion.

Learning from Mistakes: How to Have a Healthy Relationship
This article is meant to identify and define different aspects of relationships which cause a couple to break up. By learning from our mistakes and the mistakes of others, we can avoid certain hardships in a relationship and learn to work through the rest.
The most frequently noted problems in marriages that end with divorce include communication difficulties, different expectations, and foolish spending behavior. Divorce is usually the result of a long term deterioration brought on by problems which often go back to the beginning of the relationship. It is logical to assume that by learning why married couples divorce we can understand how better to avoid a negative relationship, and how to foster a healthy one.
Fighting about how to spend money is common at all income levels, and can be a real threat to the relationship. Being financially well off does not insure marital satisfaction. The best way to avoid quarrels over money is to plan how the money will be spent as a couple. For some this may mean breaking away from traditional views. For instance, traditionally the male partner would make all of the income and decide how it was spent. This could leave the female partner feeling like she has no voice in the couple’s finances.
Disagreeing role expectations can damage a relationship. If one partner has expectations of a traditional marriage and the other does not, problems can quickly come into light. In order to avoid this conflict, a potential couple should talk about role expectations. If there is a discrepancy which goes undetected into marriage, the couple may be risking divorce. Role expectations can be difficult to change whether they are traditional or not.
Communication and the lack there of is one of the most widely recognized problem areas in couples. Good communication is vital to the success of a relationship. Some of the more common communication pitfalls include contempt, criticism, defensiveness, stonewalling, and belligerence. Research indicates that couples that are unhappy in their relationship often find it difficult to convey positive messages. They may misunderstand each other more without realizing it, and there may be an inconsistency in how open they are with each other within the relationship.
In conclusion it would seem that the key to a healthy relationship is first having similar values, and then maintaining communication. Couples who have been married and divorced report feeling unheard and therefore unhappy in the marriage. Although some problems will always show up in a relationship, many are fundamental and can be avoided by good communication from the beginning.

Why yogurt is good for your skin
Yogurt is definitely good for you, but did you know that you can also use it as an amazing beauty product? It does wonders for your skin, such as giving you a healthier glow and hydrating the skin. I’ve personally tried it, and I wish I had known about this a long time ago! Oh! Did I tell you that you could also use it to give your hair the pampering it deserves? Well we can get on to that later.
Help! My Face is Getting Older...
Are you worried about your face? If you’re like me, you’re seeing those crowsfeet… it’s only a matter of time!
There’s nothing you can do to keep from getting older… But there are some things you can do to prevent premature aging of the facial skin, and you don’t have to buy a bunch of fancy creams, either.
If you’ve ever been up all night and noticed how puffy and dark under your eyes look, try putting some spoons in the freezer. Sounds weird, right? You’d be surprised how well this works. The next time you pull an all nighter, grab a spoon out of the freezer, and put it on your face around and under your eye, then gently lay it on top of your eye. The results are instant!
Massing your face improves the ciruculation. Use your fingers to massage your cheeks, under your eyes, your forehead, and your chin in little circles. You don’t have to do it for very long, just a minute or two, but you should try to do it every day – it can only help, and it’s not strenuous.
Wash your face! I know you already know that – but I want you to make a ritual of it. Pore knowledge 101: warm water opens them, cold water closes them. You should consider getting a cleanser that’s just for your face – the soap you use to wash your body might be too harsh for your face. I don’t use a wash rag on my face, either, I just put the soap on my hands – and you don’t have to use a whole lot. Occasionally I wash my face with no soap at all just to give it a break… the skin on your face is extremely sensitive. Wash your face with warm water. This allows your pores to open and get clean. Then, when you’re finishing up, rinse your face off with cold water (not ice cold, that can be damaging – just fairly cold). This closes your pores so no dirt can get in. Everybody gets exposed to things in the environment but if you smoke or if you wear make up, you’re in immediate danger of clogging your pores – this little trick can help.

Illegal Immigrants Working In the U.S.
If we really needed all these workers from other countries, Congress could issue green cards for all of them. That would be political suicide, given that we have more than 13 million citizens who cannot find work. Rather than trying to track down, identify, and deport several million people, what we need is a way to get them to go home on their own. We can do that if we just make it very expensive for the people who hire them.

The self-styled "experts" all say you are much better off if you wait until full retirement age to claim Social Security. Due to tax obligations, that may be true if you continue to work and have significant income. But if you have significant income you do not need social Security. For most people, filing for social Security at 62 is by far a better decision than waiting.
