T-Mobile's LG G-Slate Takes Aim at iPad 2, Xoom
T-Mobile's LG G-Slate 8.9-inch tablet, which the carrier officially unveiled at CTIA in Orlando, Fla., this week, has all the features to compete against the Apple iPad and the Motorola Xoom, including a dual-core processor and the tablet-optimized version of Android called "Honeycomb." Plus, T-Mobile is offering it at a competitive price of $529.

Samsung, LG, Motorola Challenging iPad on Screen Size
In October, Apple CEO Steve Jobs gleefully denigrated 7-inch tablets as inferior to his 9.7-inch iPad. This barb came as rivals rushed to embrace the 7-inch form factor. Now those competitors are taking on the iPad with larger screen sizes. At CTIA 2011, LG, Samsung and Motorola are showing off tablets with screens as large as 10.1 inches.
