Cheat Sheet - The Strange Leak of a New Anti-Clinton Exposé

Read This, Skip That ....

July 14, 2014
FISHY
Anti-Hillary book Clinton, Inc. was leaked Saturday night, 10 days ahead of time, by a supposed Tea Party tipster. But could the leaker actually be a liberal trying to take the bite out of the book? Lloyd Grove reports on the mystery that has the publishing world talking.
HISTORICAL

In a historical first, the Church of England has voted to allow women to serve as bishops. An overwhelming 351 members voted in favor of the measure, 72 voted against it, and 10 abstained. Before the vote by the national assembly known as the General Synod, Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby said the public would view it as "almost incomprehensible" if the measure were to fail. Just two years ago, a similar piece of legislation failed to get two-thirds of the vote. Women can already serve as bishops in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

BETTER THAN A FENCE
To deter Central American immigrants, the feds have a surprising tool in their arsenal: music. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency has commissioned songs, like "La Bestia" ("The Beast"), to subliminally keep immigrants from attempting to cross the border. Caitlin Dickson reports that the government has funded popular Latin American songs to subtly instill emigration fears for the past decade, but music alone won't solve the crisis.
RUN

Thousands of Palestinians have fled the Gaza Strip and are heading toward United Nations-run facilities after the Israeli military pummeled the area over the weekend. Israel attacked sites it says militants are using to launch rockets at Israeli cities. Israel warned some residents of the area before the bombardment began against sites and homes of Hamas and Islamic Jihad groups. The death toll in Gaza has risen to 167 after a week of fighting. Tel Aviv and Haifa continue to be hit by counterattacks, and six Israelis have been injured so far. On Monday, the Israeli military announced it had shot down a drone—the first report of such a weapon so far in the campaign.

GET WELL

Noticeably thinner and leaning on a walker, Tracy Morgan appeared in public for the first time since a horrific car crash broke his ribs and leg. Morgan was leaving his New Jersey home on Monday morning when he flashed a V sign and said "I'm OK, I feel strong." A scar was visible on his temple from the crash with a Walmart tractor trailer that killed friend James McNair. "Love you, thank you very much. Appreciate it," he told photographers who applauded him.
