Cheat Sheet - ‘Lamestream Media’ Execs Are Running Palin TV

Read This, Skip That ....

July 28, 2014
ALL SARAH
Cameras have been set up all over Sarah Palin's Alaska home to broadcast her message to the world at the flip of a switch. Lloyd Grove reports CNN's former president, the ex-chairman of NBC Universal, and a veteran of The Onion have joined forces with the hater of the "lamestream media" to create the Sarah Palin Channel online.
DESTRUCTION

A brief truce between Israelis and Palestianians ended in civilian bloodshed Monday. Palestinian officials say that Israel struck a hospital, which produced no casulaties, and a park in Gaza, which killed ten civilians. A spokesman for the Israeli Defense Forces said Israel was not invovled in the attack and that the hospital strike was a misfire by Palestinian militants. Four Israeli civilians were killed by Palestinian mortar fire on Monday, as well. Militants raided an Israeli town that same day. Hamas says ten Israeli soldiers were killed in that clash, and Israel says five gunmen were killed. United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called on both sides to halt to the violence Monday. "In the name of humanity, the violence must stop."

FOR LOVERS

Affirming a February ruling from a district court judge, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 Monday that Virginia's ban on same-sex marriage is unconstitutional. "We recognize that same-sex marriage makes some people deeply uncomfortable," wrote Judge Henry Floyd in the majority opinion. "However, inertia and apprehension are not legitimate bases for denying same-sex couples due process and equal protection of the laws." The court may send the case to be reheard by all judges on those courts instead of the three-judge panel that ruled Monday.

CRAZY SEASON
Impeachment is the final fantasy for hyper-partisans in the GOP, but some Democrats are exploiting the craziness as a fundraising call to arms. John Avlon writes that impeaching President Obama carries about as much constitutional weight as him being secretly Muslim or born in Kenya.
SWIRL, SIP
Spit it out. Your "craft" rye whiskey probably isn't from the local distillery touted on its packaging. Eric Felten uncovers the artisan whiskey industry's big secret: many of the "small-batch" distillers are actually buying their product from a large factory in Indiana.
