SEBELIUS SPARK?

Milton Wolf, Obama's second cousin, says his entrance into Kansas's GOP Senate primary turned Sen. Pat Roberts against former ally—and the face of Obamacare—Kathleen Sebelius, triggering a wave of calls for her resignation. Ben Jacobs reports.

REPRIEVE

After a government shutdown, angry citizens and lots of finger pointing, the Obama administration has decided to extend the deadline requiring all Americans to obtain health insurance by six weeks. The move comes after Democrats in Congress began to join the Republican chorus calling for a delay. Media coverage has intensified over the past couple weeks on the slip-ups in creating and launching healthcare.gov. Administration officials hope the delay will also allow time to fix the glitches, which caused so much anger.

MIDEAST POLICY

This week's ominous leak that Saudi Arabia will abandon its U.S.-centric policy means either that the oil kingdom is spooked by Obama's policies or the oil kingdom is spooking him, writes Leslie H. Gelb.

FEIGNED OUTRAGE

Now this is awkward. Despite constant vocal protests to the contrary, it turns out that officials from the Pakistani government were consistently briefed on U.S. drone strikes in the country. While Pakistan's acquiescence was detailed in the 2010 Wikileaks memos, it now appears that Pakistan participated in the selection of targets as well as coordination between its intelligence agency (ISI) and the CIA. Long a bone of contention at high-profile meetings between U.S. and Pakistani officials, the strikes are deeply unpopular amongst the Pakistani people.

Mass. Tragedy

A teenager charged with murdering his math teacher and dumping her body behind a Massachusetts high school plead not guilty on Wednesday. The 14-year-old student is being held without bail after surveillance video and an interview with the student showed he murdered 24-year-old Colleen Ritzer, according to prosecutors. The suspect is being charged as an adult under Massachusetts law, and could face a longer prison sentence if found guilty.
