S&P 500 ends above 2,000 for first time
NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks inched higher on Tuesday, pushing the S&P 500 to its first close above the 2,000 mark after data that pointed to a brighter future for the economy.
Burger King to buy Canada's Tim Hortons for $11.5 billion
TORONTO, Aug 26 (Reuters) - Burger King Worldwide Inc announced plans to buy Canadian coffee and doughnut chain Tim Hortons Inc for C$12.64 billion ($11.53 billion) in a cash-and-stock deal that would create the world's third-largest fast-food restaurant group.
