Many believe the closing of Exodus International, an evangelical organization that once practiced conversion therapy for homosexuals, signals the end of the "ex-gay" movement. David Sessions on why it's just the capstone of a disappearing movement that lost its credibility long ago.

REPEAT

LeBron James has done it again, leading the Miami Heat to their second straight NBA championship and taking home the title of Finals MVP—his fourth to date. The 28-year-old scored 37 points in the crucial game against the San Antonio Spurs, which ended 95–88. James's performance helped the Heat become the first NBA team to score a repeat championship win since the Los Angeles Lakers' 2009–10 double victory, sparking comparisons to the likes of Michael Jordan. "Listen, I can't worry about what everybody says about me," James said, his NBA title in one hand and Finals MVP award in the other. "I'm LeBron James, from Akron, Ohio, from the inner city. I'm not even supposed to be here. Every night I walk into the locker room, I see a No. 6 with James on the back, I'm blessed."

THE BOSS

In the wake of Sopranos star James Gandolfini's death, the nation is remembering the fictional mob boss that he brought to life. Michael Daly takes a look at the DeCavalcantes, the primordial crew behind HBO's beloved imagined Mafiosi.

HEAVY RAINS

The Canadian city of Calgary is bracing itself for major floods, issuing mandatory evacuation orders for at least 20 communities and up to 100,000 residents as waters rise and heavy rain continues. "I have never experienced any flooding of this magnitude," Calgary's director of emergency management said Friday. No deaths or injuries have been reported so far, but military helicopters have been sent to assist local rescue workers. "Our thoughts and prayers are with those families who have been affected by the serious flooding in Calgary and southern Alberta," said Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, noting that the federal government could be counted on to provide "any and all possible assistance."

TAKING ACTION

Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff called her top cabinet members for an emergency meeting Friday, as the protests that have raged across her country for at least a week have continued to grow in size and veracity. Rousseff is really more of a hands-off kind of president, having made only one public statement earlier this week in support of peaceful protest. But things have escalated since then, and as of early Friday, about a million protesters were believed to be in the streets of 80 cities clashing with police as they rally against what they view as an unreliable and corrupt government. Several people have been injured and at least one killed after a driver—furious that the fuss had made it impossible to drive through São Paulo—plunged straight into a crowd of protesters with his car. While being swarmed by protesters, Brazil is also playing host to the Confederations Cup soccer tournament, a warm-up to crowd control before Pope Francis's upcoming visit, the 2014 World Cup, and the 2016 Olympics.

Twitter Slams Kimye Baby North West

''That kid has no direction.' -- a high school guidance counselor in 2031 about North West.' That's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to amazing online reactions to the name of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's baby, which is unusual at best, society-destroying at worst.
