We anoint an Alex Ovechkin, who seems determined to prove us wrong. We back one or another Penguin, when's it not even clear which is the best on his own team. We even, for a feverish couple of weeks, decide on Claude Giroux; whoops. But you can't ever really go wrong picking Pavel Datsyuk, who at times looks like he's playing a completely different sport. In the first period of Detroit's 2-0 loss at San Jose, Datsyuk broke Logan Couture's ankles. Just straight up shattered them, injuring HP Pavilion spectators with flying bone fragments.
