CHEAT SHEET
MUST READS FROM ALL OVER

DEATHERS
1. The Rise of Osama Death Conspiracies

Birthers who claimed President Obama was not born in the U.S. have moved
on to another wild conspiracy theory: that Osama bin Laden was not
really killed on Sunday - or was killed to shut him up, and then quickly
buried at sea. "Ironically, Obama has created a new birther movement,"
says Andy Martin, who is as close as a movement like the birthers comes
to having a founder. "He's fanning the fires by giving just enough
evidence to cast reasonable doubt." The Daily Beast's Josh Dzieza
reports.

TROUBLING
2. U.S. Suspects Pakistan Link

U.S. and European intelligence services are becoming increasingly
convinced that active or retired Pakistani military and intelligence
officials helped Osama bin Laden hide out at the complex where he was
killed. "There's no doubt he was protected by some in the ISI," a
European official told The Wall Street Journal. The New York Times,
meanwhile, says the saga has shaken confidence in Pakistan's military,
the one organization that many people believe holds Pakistan together -
and the one with its hands on the country's nuclear trigger. Pakistan
and the U.S. are now feuding over bin Laden's wife who was injured in
the raid; Pakistan appears unwilling to let the U.S. interrogate her.

SHUTDOWN
3. White House Goes Mum on Raid

After electing not to release photos of Osama bin Laden's corpse, the
White House will provide no new details on the raid that killed him -
even as questions grow. The White House's earliest record of the raid
was filled with errors: He was not killed in a firefight; he did not use
his wife as a human shield; and the compound where he lived was worth
between $250,000 and $480,000, not $1 million. There is also no live
footage of the event: Cameras blacked out for 20 or so minutes during
the raid.

DISASTERS
4. Workers Enter Japanese Reactor

Japanese workers have entered the No. 1 reactor at the Fukushima Daiichi
nuclear plant - the first time they have done so since an explosion in
the days after the March 11 tsunami. The workers are connecting
ventilation equipment that they hope will reduce radiation in the air
inside the reactor. Two workers entered at 11:30 a.m. local time, and
worked for 25 minutes; a dozen workers have split up in teams and will
work inside the reactor in a rotation.

ON THE HILL
5. Congress Nears Debt Deal

Disaster averted? Republicans and Democrats are nearing a deal to raise
the debt ceiling in exchange for spending cuts. Republicans appear to
have given up on the idea of overhauling Medicare after President Obama
"excoriated us," in the words of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor
(R-VA). "We're not going to get a grand slam agreement," said Rep. Paul
Ryan (R-WI). "My hope at this moment is to get a single or a double." A
deal is likely to include cuts or mandated limits on government spending
programs that must be approved each year; cuts or limits on mandatory
spending including farm subsidies, student loans, and food stamps;
automatic spending cuts and tax increases if Congress fails to act.
