DISHONORABLE

Jane Neubauer was just out of basic training when a secretive military unit recruited her for an undercover mission. Jacob Siegel exclusively reports that Neubauer claims she was raped on duty. The Air Force isn't so sure. If Neubauer is right, then the Air Force committed one of the military's cardinal sins.

THREATENING

Speaking to a small group of reporters Tuesday, Vladimir Putin said Russia was well within its rights to apply military force in Ukraine. "If I decide to use armed forces, it will be in line with international law." Putin claimed the ousted Viktor Yanukovych was the "only one legitimate president" of Ukraine and said Russia is harboring him. Putin called the new government in Kiev illegitimate. "My assessment is that it's an unconstitutional overthrow and an armed seizure of power. No one has challenged that," he said. He dismissed the West's support for Ukraine, claiming its policy was like "experimenting with rats."

EXPELLED

In New York City, several charter schools share space with public ones in the same buildings. Progressive hero Mayor Bill de Blasio wants to evict them, and he's willing to fight his own party to do it. Conor Williams reports on the charter school battle being watched by education advocates across the nation.

NEW BENGHAZI?

In the midst of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Republicans are using international strife to attack former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's record and her likely presidential campaign, David Freedlander reports. While Clinton's usually divisive political profile was cordoned off in her role as Secretary of State, the approaching campaign season and the bad news from halfway around the globe means she can no longer stay above politics.

Slam Dunk

He's still got it. During Monday night's game against the Charlotte Bobcats, LeBron James scored 61 points, a franchise record, leading the Miami Heat to a 124-107 victory. He beat his previous career-high of 56 points from 2005, and racked up seven rebounds and five assists in 41 minutes on the court. It was the tenth time LeBron has scored more than 50 points in a game.
