REAL-LIFE MONSTER
The Hosanna Church was at the heart of a child sex-abuse scandal shrouded in reports of devil worship and rituals with cat blood and pentagrams. In 2005, Steven Ward went to the small Louisiana town to investigate its monstrous leader. Was this horrific case the story behind 'True Detective'?
CROSSED THE LINE
James Kirchick stood outside Russia Today's Washington headquarters asking dozens of employees why they work for Putin's propaganda machine. Turns out RT didn't appreciate the questioning. Watch what happened next.
MONEY TRAIL
To understand Britain's cowardice in standing up to Russian President Vladimir Putin, all you have to do is follow the money. Michael Weiss reports that Russia's hold on the British economy is worrisomely strong—and could affect the West's response to the military showdown in Ukraine.
ZUT ALORS!

After allegations were made that former French President Nicolas Sarkozy had accepted illegal money from former Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi, judges ordered his phone tapped. According to Le Monde, the recordings uncovered evidence that Sarkozy was tampering with the legal system by having a senior prosecutor leak him confidential information about other inquiries into his past deeds. Sarkozy's lawyer responded, saying there was "no attempt to pervert the course of justice and in due course this monstrous violation will be shown to have been a political affair." In 2011, one of Gaddafi's sons, Saif al-Islam, accused Sarkozy of taking millions of the dictator's money.

SHUT DOWN

Saudi Arabia announced Friday it has listed the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization, as well as two jihadist groups fighting in Syria—the Al-Nusra Front and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). It also ordered all Saudi citizens fighting outside the country to return within 15 days or face prison, largely due to fears of them becoming experienced extremists who might someday return and make Saudi rulers their next target. The move against the Brotherhood was something of a reversal, after Saudi Arabia was seen as supportive of the group's efforts to depose Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi. The move against the groups comes just a day after Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the UAE all recalled their ambassadors from Qatar, which was a supporter of Morsi and backs the Brotherhood in the region.
