Fox News has been silent, but certainty is growing that rising star Megyn Kelly will grab Sean Hannity's 9 p.m. slot—and Roger Ailes's comments about Hannity's niceness won't help the fading anchor's case. The Daily Beast's Lloyd Grove reports.

PROGRESS

Is this because Eric Holder got addicted to Orange Is the New Black too? The attorney general will announce Monday the overhaul of mandatory minimum sentences for nonviolent, low-level drug offenders. The overhaul is part of a widespread prison reform package that the Justice Department has worked on for months, the senior department officials said Sunday. Holder will outline the new policies in a speech at the American Bar Association in San Francisco on Monday, and he will highlight the "vicious cycle of poverty, criminality, and incarceration" that has occurred since the mandatory minimums went into effect. "We simply cannot prosecute or incarcerate our way to becoming a safer nation," Holder is expected to say.

SPOILER ALERT

Breaking Bad took a shocking turn at the end of Sunday's episode. Now viewers can't wait to find out what happens next. Creator Vince Gilligan tells The Daily Beast's Andrew Romano what he was thinking—and hints at the "s**tload of story left to tell."

HELPING HAND

The clichĂ© of technology mercilessly stomping on the print industry turns out to be not so true—in fact, tycoons who once appeared to be the face of the ruination of print are coming to the aid of struggling print world. Exhibit A: Jeff Bezos's purchase of The Washington Post for $250 million. But he's hardly the first—Google began financing journalism through fellowships last year, Craigslist founder Craig Newmark (perhaps making penance for decimating those classifieds) helped finance a book on ethics for journalists, Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes bought The New Republic, and finally, Steve Jobs went out of his way to give newspapers a platform on the iPad. Of course, that hasn't stopped executives on the business side of the print industry from being suspicious of the technology companies reaching out.

INTO THE GROUND

A resort villa near Florida's Disney World partially collapsed early Monday while another portion is sinking, leaving the building slightly tilted with large cracks and water leaking from within. The villa had been evacuated and luckily no injuries were reported. About 30 percent of the three-story structure collapsed around 3 a.m., Lake County Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Tony Cuellar said. The villa has a sinkhole in the middle, measuring about 40 to 50 feet in diameter. Witnesses said they could hear a cracking sound as the villa began sinking, with onlooker Luis Perez saying, "You could see the building leaning and you could see a big crack at the base of the building."
