Smarter Atomic Clock on a Chip Debuts
R. Colin Johnson recently wrote about a chip-sized atomic clock that is small enough to embed in a mobile device. He noted that most current atomic clock readings are obtained in conjunction with GPS systems making them impractical indoors, in tunnels, underground, under the sea and in outer space.
