Phony SSL Certificates Show Flaws in DNS, Comodo CEO Claims
Despite a Comodo Security partner being compromised and attackers issuing valid digital certificates for domains of Google, Microsoft and others, Comodo CEO and Chief Security Architect Melih Abulhayoglu said the problem wasn't the fraudulent certificates, but that attackers had control of the DNS infrastructure.

Google Patches Six High-Risk Flaws in Chrome Web Browser
Google paid out about $8,500 to enterprising developers who found six different critical flaws in the company's Chrome Web browser. In addition to patching those flaws, Google also issued two new SSL certificates to protect against the Comodo certificate issue.

Facebook's Diverted Traffic Raises Security, Privacy Concerns
Facebook users recently found out that some of the social network's traffic was rerouted through Chinese and Korean servers. While security experts believe this rerouting was accidental, the incident raised concerns about Facebook users' privacy and what information was lost along the way.

The European Commission had to disable all remote access to certain sensitive intranet pages after a large-scale malware attack targeted both the European Commission and the European External Action Service. The attack happened just before the EU planned a meeting about the situation in Libya.
