Ronald Reagan is fondly remembered, almost worshiped, by many conservatives. It is hard to see why. He did not do much of what they say he did and he did do much of what they say he did not do. He expanded the size of the federal government enormously, raised taxes, and ran up bigger deficits than anyone before him.
