Want to Buy Some Beachfront Property on the Gulf of Mexico (Really!)?: How About a Reverse Auction?

We all dream of living on the beach. Now, that dream can be yours through a reverse auction. Okaloosa County, Florida (home to Fort Walton Beach and a number of other beautiful small beach communities) is holding a tax sale with a twist - using a revere auction to auction off the tax certificates on delinquent properties.

You can read about the tax sale here:

If you're interested in learning more, you can view the active tax sales at the website set-up for the tax collector, BidOkaloosa.com, at:

The county government partnered with Pittsburgh, PA-based Grant Street Group on the auction.

We'll keep you posted on results! Oh, and by the way, as of May 20th, thankfully, the beaches are still pristine and beautiful in this area of Florida!
