How to take physical inventory counting successfully

Inventory record can be treated on a perpetual or periodic basis. Perpetual inventory system is recorded based on a continuous record of change in inventory. In the inventory account, all purchases and sales of goods are recorded when they occur directly. Periodic inventory system records all inventories periodically. It means physical inventory count must be done at the end of the year.
Physical inventory counting will involve the counting process, listing, verification, pricing, footings, recapitulations, extensions and approval with accuracy and expedition. If there are three or more persons who are involved in the counting process, you should design the plan that consists of writing process and such ways as the following. Read more....

The Daily Beast - The Morning Scoop - March 30, 2011

CHEAT SHEET
MUST READS FROM ALL OVER

IMMIGRANTS
1. Europe's Looming Refugee Crisis

Tens of thousands of people have poured onto Italian shores from
Tunisia, Libya, and other war-torn nations. They are kept on the island
of Lampedusa or moved to other points in Italy and processed, given
temporary residency and funds to try to rebuild their lives. The
immigrant population on the island has now reached 6,200 - that's 1,200
more than the resident population. The Daily Beast's Barbie Latza Nadeau
reports Italian officials are asking when the rest of Europe will open
its doors.

INTERVENTIONS
2. Should We Arm Libya's Rebels?

Libyan rebels are once again retreating, having been turned around by
Muammar Gaddafi's forces at his hometown of Sirte. Should the U.S. arm
them to help them further in their fight? That's the latest debate:
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says the U.S. has not yet decided,
but that the U.N. resolution permits us to do so. President Obama told
NBC News he was undecided: "I'm not ruling it out, but I'm also not
ruling it in." Meanwhile, NATO's commander in Europe told Congress that
there are "flickers" of reports that a small number of the Libyan rebels
may have ties to al Qaeda.

DISASTERS
3. Japan to Scrap Damaged Reactors

Tokyo Electric Power Col, operator of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear
plant, said Wednesday that they have no choice but to scrap the plant's
four damaged reactors and consult with local citizens about the future
of the plant's two functional reactors. Meanwhile, TEPCO's president was
hospitalized for hypertension Wednesday - but he may soon not be in
charge, as the Japanese government is considering nationalizing the
nuclear plant. The Japanese government may also have to limit
electricity use by major companies over the summer due to the power
shortage caused by the tsunami.

MUST READ
4. TARP Watchdog: Bailout Failed Main Street

Neil M. Barofsky was the special inspector general for TARP, so pay
attention: He writes in Wednesday's New York Times that the bailout
package only benefited big banks, which are now 20 percent larger than
they were before the crisis. He writes, "Treasury's mismanagement of
TARP and its disregard for TARP's Main Street goals - whether born of
incompetence, timidity in the face of a crisis or a mindset too closely
aligned with the banks it was supposed to rein in - may have so damaged
the credibility of the government as a whole that future policy makers
may be politically unable to take the necessary steps to save the system
the next time a crisis arises."

Read it at The New York Times:

*************************************************************************

SHOWDOWNS
5. Cantor: 'Time Is Up Here'

House Speaker John Boehner's challenge to convince his caucus to avoid a
government shutdown begins with its second most powerful member: "Time
is up here," House Majority Leader Eric Cantor said Tuesday. Cantor said
any short-term spending resolution to avoid a shutdown is
"unacceptable." Boehner, however, refused to rule out another temporary
extension or a compromise that would settle for smaller cuts than what
the GOP is demanding. Democrats, meanwhile, are resigning themselves to
a shutdown.
